Testing & Evaluation

Norwalk Public Schools uses a balanced assessment system that supports student learning and decision making. Assessment results are used by teachers, administrators, parents and the public to monitor the success of all our students.

The Curriculum and Instruction’s Testing Office works in coordination with the Connecticut State Department of Education and building administrators to deliver training, and plan for administration of district and state testing programs. Results of major testing programs are reported to Board of Education, professional staff and the community. Norwalk’s assessment system is aligned to the vision set forth in the district’s strategic plan.
