Please join NPS, our Strategic Plan Task Force and several of our partners to help shape the future of Norwalk Public Schools!

On Thursday, February 4 from 5pm -7pm, the Task Force will study the current and future facilities needs of the district. Newman DLR, the design and architecture firm that is conducting our comprehensive Facilities Review, will lead a collaborative workshop to solicit input.

This interactive “Virtual Tours and Benchmarks” session will illustrate trends that experts see in high quality elementary, middle and high schools. We’ll look at building concepts that support inquiry-based learning scenarios that truly promote student and teacher engagement, through “architecture that enables.”

As part of the Virtual Tours, we will ask for your feedback on likes and dislikes, so we can collect a broad base of viewpoints to help launch a dynamic dialogue.

Participants will also learn about the overall process for the Norwalk Facilities Plan, including how options will be reviewed and vetted with a broad base of stakeholders, and how feedback will be incorporated into scenario planning.
