Flyer Distribution

Peachjar Flyer Distribution

Effective November 1, 2017, Norwalk Public Schools has transitioned to a new electronic distribution program called Peachjar for all flyers from community organizations. Flyers from not-for-profit community organizations, as well as materials from parent-teacher organizations and for school events, will be distributed through email and posted on school websites.

Guidelines for Organizations

Norwalk Public Schools cooperates with non-profit organizations and community groups that sponsor activities for students of an educational or enrichment nature by allowing the distribution of materials to NPS families.

All requests from outside group or individuals to have materials distributed to student district-wide will be referred to the NPS Communications Department to determine whether the request complies with overall school purposes and policy. Building principals or a designee may approve distribution of flyers that are intended for a single school.

Materials may be approved providing that:

  1. The materials relate to school, community, local recreation or civic activities;

  2. The materials do not relate to any religious belief or activity, or promote private gain, or political position, and;

  3. The materials do not promote any political party or candidate.

To provide access for all students, we strongly recommend that flyers be submitted in both English and Spanish. New Organizations: for faster approvals, please make sure to provide the NPS Communications Department with proof of your organization’s non-profit status.

For Families

To make sure that you receive flyers from community organizations, as well as important communications from your school, parents and guardians should make sure that a current email is on record for each student. Please contact your school if you need to make an update.

The transition to electronic flyers is part of our ongoing efforts to be environmentally-friendly by reducing the amount of paper copies. In addition, it also reduces the school office and teacher staff time required to distribute materials.

Distribution of flyers is provided as a community service. Norwalk Public Schools is not responsible for the information provided or for the activities, events and services communicated by outside organizations.
