A Message from the Superintendent - End of Year 2022-23

Happy end of the year and congratulations to everyone in the Norwalk Public Schools community for making this school year an absolute success!

As we say goodbye for the summer, I’m sad to see our amazing graduates leaving Norwalk, but I’m excited to see you embark on a new journey with countless possibilities. Good luck to the Class of 2023, and remember, dare to be great!

This year has been marked by many memorable moments, and it has been an absolute privilege to witness firsthand the exceptional qualities that make our district one of the best places to learn and grow.

All our scholars now have the power to to take charge of their own education and pursue their passions through school choice. By offering them the freedom to choose the paths that best align with their interests, we have set them on a trajectory toward personal success. In relation, our innovative Workforce Development initiative has paved the way for our scholars to explore career options and discover their true calling.

Our scholars are the true shining stars of Norwalk Public Schools. Everyday, they demonstrate exceptional talent, resilience, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the world around them. I have no doubt each of them is destined for a future filled with success and fulfillment.

We introduced four district-wide events this year that not only fostered a sense of unity and inclusivity but also provided a platform to celebrate and embrace our diverse backgrounds and cultures which make our school district truly exceptional. The NPS Family Center played a vital role in bringing our families together for shared festivities and empowering parents to take an active role in their child’s academic journey.

None of it would have been possible without the unwavering commitment of our exceptional faculty and staff. They have been the driving force behind our scholars’ academic growth and social-emotional well-being. I thank them all for the dedication and passion that they show for our scholars each and every day.

To our parents, families, and community members, thank you for your unwavering support. Your engagement, encouragement, and involvement in our scholars’ education have played a vital role in their success.

Together, we have created an environment where our scholars feel safe, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.

You – all of you – are what make Norwalk Public Schools so special.
