Brien McMahon High School graduate Samantha Przybisiki (Class of 2023) was in Washington D.C. on July 18, 2023 to participate in the Free to Learn: Inclusion, Rights and Accommodations for All Faiths and None conference at the U.S. Department of Education. Przybisiki will be on the only student and youngest speaker in attendance.

Przybisiki has been fighting for equity and combating antisemitism her whole life and in February, she was given the opportunity to sit on a panel with Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff at a leadership conference. Also on the panel was Maggie Siddiqi, the director for the U.S. Department of Education’s Center for Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

Siddiqi and the Biden-Harris Administration were so inspired by the words Przybisiki shared at the leadership conference that they invited the Brien McMahon graduate to speak at this week’s conference. Congratulations to Przybisiki on this incredible honor to proudly represent her family, her community and Norwalk Public Schools in our nation’s capital.

Przybisiki will be attending Brandeis University in Fall 2023. She plans to double major in political science and Judaic studies.
