Congratulations to Assistant Principal LaShante James at Brien McMahon High School for being recognized as the 2025 High School Assistant Principal of the Year by the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS).

James has been a member of the National Association of Secondary School Principals since 2023 and was previously nominated as a CAS High School Assistant Principal of the Year in 2024.
In addition to her school leadership responsibilities, James is also the District Facilitator for the My Sister's Keeper program in Norwalk Public Schools. She is the Dedicated CT RISE Administrator and serves as the Supervising Administrator for Social Studies, Art and Music at Brien McMahon. James has also served on numerous equity, inclusion and enrichment committees during her tenure in the district.
James will now be considered for the National High School Assistant Principal of the Year Award by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
