Brien McMahon & Norwalk High Honored at 21st Annual Halo Awards
Norwalk High School and Brien McMahon High School drama clubs and their young thespians were honored at the 21st Annual Seven Angels Theatre Halo Awards on May 29 at the Palace Theatre in Waterbury.
Brien McMahon High School’s Paul Cherynsh won Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Musical for his role as Willard in the school’s spring musical “Footloose.” The musical’s Vocal Director, senior Laszlo Balazs, received the Special Award for Outstanding Musical Directions.
Norwalk High School’s Sean Tagariello won Best Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Musical for his role as Robert Martin in “The Drowsy Chaperone.” Kathryn Romano won Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Contemporary Play for her role as Grace Fryer in “Radium Girls.”
