Welcome Back to NPS! A Message from Dr. Alexandra Estrella
Dear Norwalk Public Schools community
The new school year is quickly approaching, and I can’t wait to see our students, teachers and staff back in the classroom, ready to embark on another journey of learning, understanding and development.
Over the summer, many of us have been hard at work preparing for another successful year. We have put a great deal of focus on why we do this work and the answer remains constant – we do this for our scholars.
We have made a conscious effort to listen and learn from our scholars to better understand what they need from us and how we can provide it in collaboration with our teachers, staff and families. Whether it’s more hands-on learning in class or access to mental health services, we are always trying to find ways to offer the tools and resources that will allow our students to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.
The phrase “It takes a village” is one that we use often here at NPS, but it is more than just a saying. It is a practice at the heart of all our decision-making, and we look forward to working with you all to ensure your child has the best experience in Norwalk Public Schools and gets the best education possible. We truly couldn’t do this work without you.
Please enjoy the rest of your summer, and we’ll see you soon!
Yours in Partnership,
Dr. Alexandra Estrella
Superintendent of Norwalk Public Schools
