Homebound Registration

The Connecticut State Department of Education has issued new regulations, resulting in significant changes to homebound instruction. Homebound instruction shall be provided only for a "verified medical reason which may include mental health issues."

In order to determine whether a child has a "verified medical reason," when homebound instruction is being considered, the child's treating physician must provide a written statement to the Board of Education/Norwalk Public Schools, on the district's Request for Homebound Instruction form.
